Highet is the father-son songwriting duo of Thomas and Nikolas Erl who collaborate to write and produce contemporary songs. They work with professional local session musicians to record their music in Vancouver, Canada.
The band’s name originates from “Highet Creek,” a long, winding creek deep in the northern Yukon wilderness, where their ancestors operated a placer mine for decades, searching for gold.
The authentic, guitar-centric sound of Highet’s music is inspired by artists, such as Dire Straits, The Killers and Neil Young. All of Highet’s music is 100% original. No AI is used in the creation of their songs.
Highet’s first single, “Never Alone,” is an acoustic rock song with a contemplative tone and powerful messaging. Highet also released "Never Alone (Roaming Mix)," which infuses the original melody with escalating, emotionally charged hard rock tracks and additional verses.
Highet’s new song, "Your Eyes Don't See," is a high-energy rock track with a new wave influence, featuring a driving rhythm section and cutting guitar riffs. The extended version of this song will be released separately in September.
Also stay tuned for Highet's upcoming songs, "Time is What I'm Wasting" and “I Want to See You Again.” The single version of "Time is What I'm Wasting" is scheduled for release in late in September and the instrumental version will become available in October.
